Home health care worker (Permanent employment, Full time 30 to 40 hours / week)

Salary: $18.00 to $18.50 / hour (To be negotiated)

Start date As soon as possible

Work Setting: Work in the employer's/client's home. Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment. Public transportation is available

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking

 

Specific Skills: Care for an elderly man with disability. Mend clothing and linens, Administer bedside and personal care, Launder clothing and household linens, Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder), Provide personal care, Provide companionship, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Prepare and serve nutritious meals

 

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Security and Safety

Criminal record check

Personal Suitability: Punctuality, Organized, Effective interpersonal skills, Dependability, Flexibility, Initiative, Judgement, Reliability, Client focus

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
